Cookie Policy

Cookie Policy

Version: 1.0 Effective from: [DATE — e.g. 1 July 2026] Operator: Ing. Tomáš Dejmek

This Cookie Policy explains how the KonstrukThor platform ("Platform") uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements the Privacy Policy. Cookies are processed under § 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. (electronic communications) and the GDPR.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to function, to remember preferences, and — if you consent — to measure usage.

The Platform also uses similar technologies that store information in your browser, in particular browser local storage (localStorage). When you log in, the Platform stores authentication tokens (an access token and a refresh token) in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. Legally, storing and accessing such information is treated the same way as cookies (§ 89(3) ZEK), and these technologies fall into the strictly necessary category below.

2. Categories of cookies we use

| Category | Purpose | Legal basis | Consent required? | |---|---|---|---| | Strictly necessary (incl. localStorage) | Authentication/login tokens stored in browser local storage, session, security (CSRF), load balancing, and remembering your cookie choices | Legitimate interest / necessity (§ 89(3) ZEK; čl. 6(1)(f) GDPR) | No — required for the service to function | | Analytics — Google Analytics (GA4) | Measure visits and usage to improve the website | Consent — čl. 6(1)(a) GDPR | Yes — only after opt-in |

The Platform does not use advertising/marketing cookies. The Platform does not set non-essential cookies before you give consent.

Scope — embedded calculators. This Policy covers the konstrukthor.cz website and the Platform interface. Embedded calculators (the iframe widget placed on customers' websites) do not set any cookies in visitors' browsers and do not load Google Analytics.

3. Analytics — Google Analytics

When you consent to analytics cookies, the Platform uses Google Analytics (GA4), provided by Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC. This may involve transfer of data (including IP-derived data) to Google in the USA, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. IP anonymisation is applied where available. See Google's policies at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you do not consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

4. Managing your consent

4.1. On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. Necessary cookies are always active.

4.2. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer, with effect for the future.

4.3. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may impair the Platform's functionality.

5. Retention

Necessary cookies last for the session or a short period needed for their function. Authentication tokens stored in localStorage remain until you log out or clear your browser storage (the access token is short-lived and refreshed automatically; the refresh token persists for the login session). Analytics cookies last up to the period stated by Google (typically up to 14 months for GA4 identifiers). Your consent record is kept to evidence compliance.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy. The current version is always available on the Platform.

⚠️ Legal notice: This template assumes Google Analytics with opt-in consent and no marketing cookies. If you add other trackers, update the table and the banner categories. Have the consent-banner implementation verified against ePrivacy/ZEK requirements (prior opt-in, equal-prominence reject button).
